Africa-Press – Angola. The new first secretary of the MPLA in Calenga commune, Caála municipality, Julião Coliengue, Thursday, asked the militants to get closer to rural communities, to better insert them in agriculture projects and other political- supporters.
The party member, who was speaking after being elected, replacing Tomas Quissongo, I exhort you to better engage and commit to work, with a view to strengthening basic structures and disseminating the party’s ideals to rural communities.
Julião Coliengue said that the MPLA in the Calenga commune will focus on direct contact with the population, as well as monitoring agricultural projects and protecting peasant families, for the consolidation of entrepreneurial initiatives, with a focus on encouraging self-employment and promoting socioeconomic development.
“We will scrupulously follow the statutes and recommendations of the party’s superior structures, with a view to implementing party-political programs and disseminating projects of socio-economic interest, for greater knowledge of militants and communities in general”, he said.
He also promised to develop campaigns to moralize society, with appeals to coexistence in political-partisan differences.
