Africa-Press – Angola. The second secretary of the MPLA in Cuando Cubango, Carla Cativa, defended, Saturday, the need for women to continue to develop actions tending to keep the party in the governance of the country.
Speaking at the provincial act on March 2nd, Angolan Women’s Day, he said it was necessary for this layer to be continuously mobilizing other women, for numerical aggrandizement, with a view to the electoral challenges.
According to her, the OMA should promote actions aimed at bringing together women for the next general elections in 2027, with a view to the party’s continued achievement in Angola.
The provincial secretary of the Organization of Angolan Women (OMA) in Cuando do Cubango, Rosa Cacuhu, in her speech, underlined the efforts of women to conquer National Independence.
She urged women to invest in the literacy process, fight against domestic violence, early marriage and violence against children, with a view to achieving sustainable family development.
The event, which took place at the Menongue gymnastics field, with the participation of more than a thousand military personnel from OMA, JMPLA and MPLA, was enlivened with a cultural moment by local musicians and women from the female organisation.
