Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA’s first provincial secretary in Cuanza-Norte, João Diogo Gaspar, called on his members this Saturday for discipline, a spirit of unity, and greater engagement with the electorate, given the electoral challenges of 2027.

João Diogo Gaspar, speaking at the mass political rally in the town of Golungo Alto, stated that the MPLA has won elections because it is a united party committed to the principle of “one people, one nation.”

The politician considered that each party organization plays a decisive role in this journey toward the next victory, indicating that the OMA must continue to pay special attention to the women of Golungo Alto and throughout the province, encouraging entrepreneurship and promoting education.For the party leader, the OMA is also responsible for ensuring women’s responsible participation in public life, highlighting the importance of this organization for justice and social inclusion in the country.

He directed the JMPLA to mobilize all young people in the province, creating conditions for them to have access to higher education institutions, entrepreneurship, and technical-professional training.

João Diogo Gaspar reiterated the need for private investment and economic dynamism in the province to generate jobs and business opportunities and improve the living conditions of young people, especially women.

He urged the development of the coffee corridor and the production of cocoa, corn, and beans, so that families can achieve food self-sufficiency and contribute to national development.

He also urged young people to preserve peace, value their achievements, and honor national independence to ensure that the next 50 years will be filled with prosperity and dignity for all Angolans.He said that the celebration of half a century of Independence invites everyone to look to the past with gratitude, the present with responsibility, and the future with hope and determination.

He emphasized that the 50 years of National Independence reaffirm the collective commitment to the party’s ideals, the unity of the organization, and the continued struggle for the progress and well-being of the people.

The political event is part of the First Secretary’s program, which includes a tour of the province’s 17 municipalities to assess the level of organization and functioning of the party and its social organizations, as well as assess the degree of compliance with the guidelines of the central structures.

As part of this tour, the politician has already visited the municipalities of Lucala, Cerca, Cambambe, Massangano, and Golungo Alto.
