Africa-Press – Angola. The secretary general of the MPLA, Paulo Pombolo, reaffirmed Tuesday in Malanje that his party remains in continuous work of mobilizing and framing new militants, with a view to its aggrandizement.

The politician made these statements during his arrival in Malanje, noting that, following the August 2022 general elections, won by the MPLA, the militants made a deep reflection on the mistakes committed during the preparation of the process, which resulted in the Political Agenda 2023.

In order to improve the party’s performance in the next elections, he urged the involvement of militants, friends and supporters in the dissemination and implementation of the Political Agenda/2023, as a document that embodies the main guidelines of the organization, in favor of the well-being of the population.

On the other hand, he highlighted the decisive role of MPLA militants for the victory in the 2022 general elections, a dynamic that, in his view, must be continuously improved.

He highlighted the permanent interaction between the party leadership and its supporters in this province, without neglecting the religious leaders, given the partnership of the churches with the Executive, in the fields of health and education.

Meanwhile, Paulo Pombolo highlighted the need for public office holders to commit to achieving the goals set out in the country’s development programs, as well as strengthening contact with the citizen, living up to the motto “Work More and Communicate Better” .

For three days, the MPLA Secretary General will meet with members of the Executive Committee of the Malanje Provincial Committee, militants of the Party Action Committees (CAP), religious leaders and with the Rectorate of the Queen Njinga University in Mbande, this last with which he will address the evolution of higher education in the region.

The politician will also visit the Quissol water collection, treatment and distribution centre, recently inaugurated by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, the works in the centrality of Malanje and other projects included in the PIIM (Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities).

In addition to Malanje, the visits will extend to the municipalities of Kiwaba Nzoji and Cangandala.
