Africa-Press – Angola. he first provincial secretary of the MPLA in Moxico, Ernesto Muangala, recognized, the bravery and efforts of women for the socio-economic, political and social development of the country.

The politician recognized the potential of Angolan women during the festivities celebrating the 61st anniversary of the Organization of Women Angola (OMA), a women’s association of the MPLA, signed on 10 January.

Ernesto Muangala emphasized women’s contribution to the growth and preservation of values ​​that structure families, as well as their commitment to fighting hunger and poverty.

The first secretary reiterated that Angolan women have always demonstrated their commitment to solving the various problems that afflict society.

The deputy provincial secretary of OMA, Fatima Zangata, reaffirmed the commitment to contribute to the fight for women’s rights for their empowerment.

According to the official, as the largest women’s organization in the country, OMA will assume a leading role in raising women’s awareness for carrying out concrete actions aimed at empowering the class.

Fatima Zangata also said that OMA has contributed significantly to the defense of freedom and civil rights of the Angolan people, since its foundation on January 10, 1962.
