The second provincial secretary of the MPLA in Luanda, Hermelindo Pereira, said that the party is aware of the social problems faced by citizens in the country’s capital.Hermelindo Pereira recently made this statement during the opening speech of the seminar on “Strengthening the Distribution Capacity and Infrastructure of Energy, Water and Basic Sanitation”.
The leader stressed, however, that the basic problems of the population represent the main objective of the party as they can be resolved over time in an effective, fast and quality manner.
In his approach, he also stressed that the availability of electricity and the ability to supply drinking water to the population are some of the factors that also contribute to the country’s development.
On the other hand, the politician recalled the intervention of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, in the State of the Nation speech, regarding the Energy and Water sector, where he listed a series of initiatives that, according to the presentation, aim to make the Ministerial Department increasingly dynamic and involved in the development project and the construction of a new Angola.
Hermelindo Pereira also congratulated the Department for Urban and Academic Organization of the MPLA for holding the event, as well as for the dynamics it has been undertaking in coordination with the Specialty Committees of the political organization.
