Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA’s first provincial secretary in Lunda-Sul, Daniel Neto, reaffirmed Friday, in the municipality of Muconda, the party’s commitment to working to meet the population’s desires.
The politician, who was speaking at the provincial mass event to present the MPLA’s political agenda, reinforced that, “to achieve this, there is every need for activists to be aligned and invest in technical-professional and academic training”.
He stated that the lines of force of political formation in the province are based on two important moments, without “the first being the governmental action that transforms the lives of citizens and the second the party, to oversee and direct the actions of the Executive that correspond with the expectations of the people.”
Dabiel Neto made it known that the MPLA will be committed to solving problems linked to education, health, construction of secondary and tertiary roads, as well as training human resources, to ensure all infrastructures.
Another focus is on the energy and water sector, which will soon see significant improvements, with the start of operation of 26 megawatts of the photovoltaic plant, as well as the water systems under construction in all municipalities.
He also announced the construction of the road that will soon connect the municipalities of Muriege, Chiluage and Cassai Sul, with a view to improving the circulation of people and goods.
He assured that another strategic line of the MPLA is related to the expansion of communication in the municipalities of the mobile telephone network and mass dissemination bodies.
On the other hand, the focus on agriculture to reduce hunger and poverty in communities is one of the party’s priorities and reinforces the appeal to peasants and families to invest in this segment, which will compete with the support of the Executive.
“The MPLA will advocate with the banks to facilitate credit and acquisition of fertilizers, seeds and field material to carry out production”, he stated.
The construction of houses in communes and municipalities, as well as the start of the second phase of the Saurimo centrality, with 1,400 residences, constitutes another major MPLA objective.
Daniel Neto also said that the process of improving housing in the villages will be continuous, as well as the distribution of internal and external scholarships.
He mentioned the continuous commitment to combating corruption and nepotism, which must be everyone’s work, so that the country progresses at all levels.
OMA and JMPLA must be the first to be closer to the activists to urgently promote unity and social harmony.
After the event, Daniel Neto delivered various food items and means of work for the field to some families in the municipality of Muconda.
Deputies to the National Assembly, members of the Provincial Committee, activists, supporters, among others, witnessed the event.
