Africa-Press – Angola. The second secretary of the MPLA in the province of Huambo, Adérito Chimuco, called, this Wednesday, for greater commitment from activists in the care, protection, assistance, training and well-being of families, as the basic nucleus of society.

The supporter, who was speaking at a mass political event, held in the municipality of Caála, as part of the revitalization of the MPLA’s base structures, highlighted the importance of the family in the training and instruction of cadres capable of responding to the political, social and economic challenges of the country.

Adérito Chimuco also urged young people to remain firm, strong and united in the ideals of peace, national reconciliation and community development, through actions aimed at preserving moral values ​​and investing in technical-professional, academic, entrepreneurship and agribusiness.

He stated that sustainable development, increasing national production and combating poverty, as challenges taken on by the Executive, depend on the involvement of all Angolans.

“The struggle that led Angolans to achieve National Independence, peace and the implementation of the democratic rule of law must continue with increased diversification of the economy, through national production, for the export of goods and merchandise, with a focus on improvement of the internal economic environment, towards employment and self-employability”, he highlighted.

He added that throughout history the work carried out by the MPLA has been great, although there are still people who think that the mission would end with the achievement of peace in 2022, on the contrary , the challenges faced are enormous, which is why all militants and the population, in general, need to continue fighting for the common good.

In turn, the first secretary of the MPLA in the municipality of Caála, Avelino Sambuanda Luís, reaffirmed the commitment to preserving peace and strengthening political and social unity, in full compliance with the party’s ideals, around President João Lourenço.

The politician said that the Caála Municipal Committee defined the need to make structures stronger, more dynamic and active based on the values ​​expressed in the MPLA statutes, as the main actions to be developed.

The event was marked with a march in the arteries of the city of Caála, in the western corridors of the province of Huambo, which aimed to demonstrate the bravery, vigor and determination of the militants, especially the younger ones, in complying with the guidelines of the MPLA’s Political Agenda, in strengthening basic structures and integration into society.
