Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA in Lunda Norte wants to introduce new dynamics of mobilization, awareness and recruitment of militants in the municipalities of Lucapa, Cambulo and Cuango, considered the largest electoral centers in the province.

To this end, the Cuango, Lucapa and Cambulo committees held extraordinary conferences over the weekend where they elected new municipal secretaries, who were given the challenge of working to overcome the electoral results of the last election in those districts.

For the municipality of Lucapa, Agostinho Paiva was elected, replacing Maria Neia Muegita, while, in Cambulo, Bernadete Cachoco is the new municipal secretary of the MPLA, replacing Domingas Zeferino Martins.

In the municipality of Cuango, the bet of the militants fell on Daniel Mutaza, who replaces Gastão Cahata.

In his first speech, as municipal secretary of the MPLA in Lucapa, Agostinho Paiva, said that his party has increased responsibilities, aimed at promoting patriotism, citizens’ well-being, consolidating and preserving peace, political tolerance and reconciliation .

“ The MPLA has its roots in the people and it was there that for a long time it managed to achieve countless objectives, from the conquest of National Independence to peace and reconciliation, therefore, we must continue to work, always putting the interests of the nation above personal ones. ”, he stressed.

In turn, the party’s first secretary in Cambulo, Bernadete Cachoco Muacariata, said that the MPLA has increased responsibilities to continue ensuring compliance with the execution and implementation of projects with a socio-economic impact, in response to the wishes of the population.

He said that as head of the party in that district, he will favor dialogue with the masses, listening to young people, traditional authorities, religious leaders, among others, seeking concrete solutions to the socio-economic problems of the municipality.

The first municipal secretary of Cuango, Daniel Mutaza, said that he will work for the growth of the MPLA ranks and to reinforce internal unity, aiming at achieving present and future political objectives.

In the last elections, the MPLA elected three deputies out of the five foreseen in the constituency of Lunda Norte.
