Africa-Press – Angola. The Namibe government on Monday, evaluated the operational tourism promotion implementation plan in the municipalities of Moçâmedes, Virei, Camucuio, Bibala, Iona, Lucira, Cacimbas, Tômbwa, and Sacomar.

The plan was reviewed during the government’s regular meeting led by the provincial governor Archer Mangueira, aimed to harness the province’s tourism potential, supported by its diverse landscape, rich historical and cultural heritage, and the hospitality of its communities.

Tômbwa Administrator Adilson Hach stated that the province has everything it needs to boost tourism, mentioning its coastline, desert climate, and dunes as examples.

To him, the plan emerges as one of the main strategies to promote sustainable social and economic growth in the province and not only.

However, municipal administrations are working on implementing the tourism operational plan, aiming to consolidate the province as a leading tourist destination.

During the meeting, officials learned about the Okulinonga project, the National Hero’s Day program on September 17th, and Namibe’s participation in the 11th edition of the 2025 Fair of Municipalities and Cities of Angola (FMCA), to be held in Benguela, among other programs.
