Africa-Press – Angola. The National Assembly unanimously approved, this Wednesday, the proposed law that amends the Organic Law of the Supreme Court. The decision was made during the 6th Extraordinary Plenary Meeting of the 3rd Legislative Session of the 5th Legislature, with 178 votes in favor, none against, and no abstentions.
The proposed amendment mainly seeks to adapt the organic structure of the Supreme Court to the new reality of the national judicial system, reported the aforementioned institution on Facebook.
The document emphasizes the need to introduce specific adjustments to Law No. 2/22, to align it with the current models of organization and functioning of the courts, as well as to respond to the technical and operational demands of the judicial system.
After approval in plenary, the diploma will now be analyzed by the specialty committees of the National Assembly, where it will be subject to detailed discussion before its promulgation, concludes the same source.
