Africa-Press – Angola. The second edition of the Bienal de Luanda – Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace, which took place last November, allowed the creation of an alliance of partners, in a total of 60 international entities, which have committed to supporting projects that contribute to Culture for Peace in Africa, said Tuesday (01) to Jornal Cultura, the coordinator of the National Management Committee of the Bienal de Luanda, Diekumpuna Sita José.
In the interview, Sita José also reveals that, in addition to the engagement of young people from the continent, a series of concrete actions have been gained in several areas whose results may contribute to the Culture of Peace.
Thus, she clarifies, with this alliance of partners, opportunities are opened for initiatives in the areas of culture, environment, education, among others.
“Since the second edition, we’ve been dealing with concrete things that can check what the real progress and impact is. We don’t just limit ourselves to recommendations.
There is an action plan and all this was the result of the debate in which the contributions of all those seeking concrete actions were defined as a thematic forum”, he says, pointing out, among several examples, the Tecelões da Paz initiative, a cross-border project between Chad , Cameroon and Gabon.
