Africa-Press – Angola. The traditional authorities of the municipality of Caála, Huambo province, highlighted Tuesday, that the new Political-Administrative Division (DPA) will allow for the fair distribution of national wealth and provide a quick response to the problems of the population.

The chiefs encourage the Executive to proceed with the implementation of the Proposal for the Amendment of the Political-Administrative Division, as it is a new stage of socio-economic development, with the approximation of social services to the population.

They consider the transformation of districts and communes into municipalities as a tool capable of allowing effective control of the territory so that it is possible to carry out more consistent projects with a greater population coverage, with a focus on common well-being.

Chief Albino Capusso said that, with the new administrative division, basic social services will be closer to the population, a fact that will contribute to the rapid growth of communities and put an end to the flight of young people to continue their studies or look for jobs in the centres. urban.

On his turn, chief Olindo Cachissapa praised the government’s efforts in drawing up the proposal for the transformation of districts and communes into municipalities, for greater control of the population of communities furthest from urban centers and framing them in sustainable development policies.

Rafael Manuel, on the other hand, made it known that the Proposal for the Political-Administrative Division Law represents an intelligent government strategy, which aims to seek a better management model and bring public services closer to the population.

In the municipality of Caála, in the western corridor of the province of Huambo, the Proposed Law of the Political-Administrative Division foresees the elevation of the communes of Calenga, Catata and Cuima to the category of municipality.
