Africa-Press – Angola. The new municipal administrator of Icolo and Bengo, Isabel dos Santos, recently appointed, guaranteed, this Thursday, to continue the projects started by her predecessor, Nelson Funete, aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens.
Among the projects implemented by the outgoing party are “Cimento Tijolo e Tinta”, which aims to paint and improve the main facades of houses and backyards, “Administrador no teu Bairro”, embodied in the administration employees going to meet the residents to listen and resolve occasionally some problems.
Likewise, the “Luz na Banda” program to improve public lighting, “Friday at Lavra”, which aims to encourage and motivate farmers, as well as “Pão na porta”, which aims to offer of food to the neediest, three times a week.
“I will do everything to comply with the precepts of progress desired in the municipality and continue the current program”, stressed the new administrator, during her presentation to Icolo and Bengo administration officials.
The manager expressed gratitude for the trust placed in the provincial governor of Luanda, Manuel Homem, in guiding the destinies of this district.
Isabel dos Santos replaces Nelson Funete, who managed the municipality for 10 months.
His presentation was guided by the vice-governor of Luanda for Technical and Infrastructure, Cristiano Mário Ndeitunga.
At the time, the vice-governor said that this change of managers is the result of a process of rotation in the continuity of assistance to the population.
“Employees are expected to receive the same support given to the previous administrator, so that the current manager can work accordingly and continue with the key projects of the management that ends its duties today”, he appealed.
Until the date of her appointment to Icolo e Bengo, the new administrator held the position of administrator of the urban district of Bela Vista, in the municipality of Talatona.
