Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, received on Thursday the letters of credence from four new ambassadors who will represent the political, diplomatic, economic, and cultural interests of their respective countries in Angola.
At separate ceremonies held at the Presidential Palace in Luanda, Sharif Abdalrahim Abmullou, the ambassador of Palestine and a diplomat with experience in various areas of his country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presented his letters of credence.
The President also received the Letters of Credence from the ambassador of Mali, Saydou Coulibaly, who has 28 years of diplomatic experience and has served in various posts, including in India between 2014 and 2020.
The protocol procedure was also formalized by the ambassadors of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, David Madouka, who has been a diplomat since 1983 and has worked in Francophonie and with Congolese communities abroad; and Portugal, Nuno Vaultier Mathias, who is 57 years old and has previously held diplomatic positions in Washington, Maputo, San Francisco and Riyadh.
Following the formal presentation of the letters of credence, the Angolan president held 15-minute private meetings with each of the resident diplomats.
