Africa-Press – Angola. nurse at the Camabatela Provincial Hospital, in the municipality of Ambaca (Cuanza Norte), was beaten to death last Sunday, after running over a citizen in the village of Kissunga II, on the outskirts of the town of Camabatela.
The incident occurred around 6pm on Sunday, the 29th, when the victim, aboard his vehicle, ran over a citizen who lives in the village of Kissunga II.
Speaking this Monday, the spokesperson for the Municipal Command of the National Police in Ambaca, sub-inspector Bernardo Luimbi, explained that the nurse Gunza Henriques, aged 30, in an attempt to address the police authorities to participate in the case, he was chased by six citizens who were riding motorbikes.
When they caught up with him, they beat him to death. The citizens also beat their companion, who is in a coma in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Provincial Hospital of Camabatela.
The citizen who was run over had some minor injuries, was treated by local health services and has already been discharged.
Bernardo Luimbi reported that the alleged attackers are already detained and will be presented to the Public Ministry for criminal liability.
This is the first case of its kind in this municipality during the year.
In a statement, the management of the Provincial Hospital of Camabatela describes Gunza Henriques, with the category of Intermediate Nursing Technician, as a selfless, committed professional with a high sense of mission.
