Africa-Press – Angola. The proposal for the General State Budget (OGE) for the province of Huambo, referring to the financial year 2023, foresees expenses in the order of 130 billion, 728 million, 764 thousand and 59 Kwanzas.

The data are contained in the budget proposal drawn up by the provincial government of Huambo, which ANGOP had access to this Monday.

According to the province’s proposal, compared to the current economic year, an increase of nine billion, 892 million, 687 thousand and 834 Kwanzas is estimated, as an expenditure of around 120 billion, 836 million , 076 thousand and 225.

Meanwhile, the document indicates that the provincial government had, in the current financial year, a limit in terms of budgetary expenditure, in the order of 114 billion, 770 million, 853 thousand and 810 Kwanzas.

Of these, it reads, ten billion, 404 million, 476 thousand and 547 were invested in the Public Investment Programme, with the construction and conclusion of various social infrastructures, registering an increase of 43.9 percent, comparatively to the fiscal year 2021.

With regard to total budget expenditures for 2023, it details that 112,407,274,044 are current and 18,321,490,015 capital, of which 10,819,082,547 will be allocated to the Public Investment Program, through the implementation of the Integrated Intervention Plan in the Municipalities (PIIM).

In this chapter, according to the document, the execution of various projects is foreseen, with emphasis on the completion of various social infrastructures, the construction of new ones, asphalting, grading and earthworks of access roads, as well as the construction of bridges and bridges.

In terms of revenue, the provincial government of Huambo expects to collect, locally, in 2023, a total of ten billion, 101 million, 025 thousand and 453, of which 9,425,434,038, through the industrial sector, 568,962,788 from the provision of services and 106,628,627 from various sources.

In the budget proposal, the Government informs that these values ​​will be used to support part of the expenses foreseen in the document, while the others will be executed with resources that will be made available by Organs central bodies.

With a territorial extension of 35,771 square kilometers and a population density of over two million, 600,000 inhabitants, the province of Huambo is administratively composed of 11 municipalities, 37 communes and 3,387 villages.
