Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial secretary of the Angolan Women’s Organization (OMA) in Lunda Sul, Maria Mabaia, called this Thursday, in Saurimo, for greater cohesion and responsibility among affiliates, as well as active participation in planned activities.
This intention was expressed during the opening of the VI ordinary session of the OMA provincial committee, stating that in this way it will be possible to implement the programs and challenges of the organization and the party.
He highlighted that the meeting aims to prepare the organization’s members and activists to better organize and standardize political discourse in communities, as well as allow the revitalization of basic structures.
Maria Mabaia made it known that OMA will continue to work on raising awareness among women to attend literacy classes, give up excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages, early pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and child marriage, a situation that afflicts countless families.
During the VI meeting, OMA members from the province’s four municipalities will analyze and debate documents related to internal life, a report on activities carried out during 2023, activity plans, a schedule for the 2024 semester and the secretariat meeting calendar provincial.
