Africa-Press – Angola. The implementation of professional technical training policies for women and the delivery of work kits, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in communities, constitute the commitment of the municipal administration of Ombadja, Cunene province.
The information was provided this Monday by the administrator of Ombadja, Elizeth Kondjasili, on the sidelines of the ceremony to hand over 20 kits to women who participated in training linked to cooking and pastry.
They made it known that they intend to train and encourage women to create their own business initiatives and employment opportunities for others, in order to have a source of income to support their families.
Elizeth Kondjasili highlighted that the focus is on working to promote development policies, valuing women and their inclusion in the job market.
During the event, 20 kits were delivered consisting of stoves, pans, cake molds, blenders and other materials, acquired under the Integrated Program for Local Development and Combating Poverty (PIDLCP) 2023.
Along with pastry and cooking kits, the administrator delivered 10 motorbikes to communal administrations.
The Integrated Local Development and Poverty Combat Program has an annual budget of 336 million kwanzas.
The municipality of Ombadja has a population of 394 thousand and 964 inhabitants, distributed in the municipalities of Xangongo (headquarters), Humbe, Naulila, Mucope and Ombala Yo Mungo.
