The writer, who was distinguished last Friday, in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) with the “Literary Reference” award, in an initiative by the Brazilian publisher Publiart, appealed to young people to apply for the competition, focused on promoting national literature and International.

In turn, the head of the Huambo Cultural Action department, Pascoal Pedro Nhanga, valued the institutionalization of the Angola Lê prize, as it appears to popularize youth literature, with cultural, historical and scientific diversities, through short stories, poetry and other narratives.

The official announced that the province of Huambo currently controls seven literary associations, made up of more than 100 writers, registered in the database, which will be updated soon.

When speaking at the event, the interim representative of the Young Literature Brigade in Huambo, Felele de Papel, praised the initiative of the Angolan writer Nituecheni Africano, for encouraging young people to publish their works, which have been waiting for publication for a long time.

He considered that the promotion of youth literature and beyond depends largely on public and private investment, which is why everyone is called to this task linked to culture, science and research.
