Africa-Press – Angola. Forty-two million kwanzas is the amount amortized in the period from August 2021 to April 2023, by freight transport operators in the province of Cunene.

The amount in question resulted from the amortization of the first 10 little faces distributed in May 2021, through the Integrated Program for the Development of Rural Commerce (PIDCR)

In a statement this Friday to press, the director of the Provincial Office for Economic Development of Cunene, Orlando Kamati, stressed that the reimbursement process is proceeding satisfactorily, stressing that each operator must pay a monthly fee of 200,000 kwanzas, during four years.

Orlando Kamati said that the amortization process is taking place as normal, after a grace period of three months, where operators have fulfilled their obligations.

At the end of the four years, he added that the operator will pay 9.6 million kz, which means that 40.4 million kwanzas are assumed by the State, translating into a subsidy of 80.8 percent.

He made it known that the process, carried out in two phases, made available 20 cargo transport vehicles, with an average capacity of 6.5 tonnes, to streamline the flow of national production from the countryside to the city.

Meanwhile, he praised the availability of means destined to boost rural production, essentially supported by family farming, as well as in the transport of fish, where current prices have reduced considerably.

He pointed out as difficulties the poor condition of the access roads, with particular emphasis on the Calueque road, considered the main agricultural production zone in the province.

The Integrated Program for the Development of Rural Commerce, conceived by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, foresees the distribution of 500 vehicles throughout the country.
