Africa-Press – Angola. The current number of lawyers in the province of Huambo, in activity, is still not satisfactory for providing consultation and legal assistance of a different nature to citizens, in the eleven municipalities, which has been reflected in the non-monitoring, in general, of many cases in court , although it is “on the right path” to reverse the scenario, said Domingos Sassi.
The president of the Provincial Council of the Bar Association in Huambo, who was speaking, on Friday, at the ceremony for granting definitive ballots to 11 lawyers who attended an 18-month internship, said that work is being carried out to increase the number of professionals, from in order to correspond and meet the expectations of society.
The practice of law, he warned, requires “nobility” because it is “a profession of moral authority”, whose actions are generally supervised by society, stressing that “every act contrary to ethics and deontology” ends up tarnishing the entire class.
