Africa-Press – Angola. The former Cuban ambassador to Angola, Oscar Oramas Oliva, launched and autographed, this Thursday, in Luanda, his work entitled “Dr. António Agostinho Neto: An exceptional man of his time”.
With 115 pages, the essay results from the writer’s research and memories, together with testimonies from friends and closest collaborators of the first President of Angola.
In the work, the author points out that Agostinho Neto is a man of all times for having known how to interpret the feelings of independence of his people and having faced the bloody process with determination and firmness.
Edited by Memorial Dr. António Agostinho Neto, the author has a circulation of 500 copies.
To be sold at a price of 2,000 kwanzas, the book was launched last year in the Cuban provinces of Santiago de Cuba, Camaguey and Granma.
During the presentation of the book, the President of the Agostinho Neto Foundation, Maria Eugenia Neto, awarded the Holy Hope order to the writer.
Oscar Oramas Oliva has also published the works “Angola was born a new generation”, published in 1978, “The most outstanding political personalities in the process of decolonization of Africa”, in 1990 and “Amílcar Cabral, beyond his time”, in 1998.
