Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for Administration, Finance and Heritage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Osvaldo Varela, received, this morning, in Luanda, the Figurative Letters of the ambassador of the Republic of Ireland designated for Angola, with the status of Non-Resident, Alma Ní Choigligh.Alma Ní Choigligh joined the diplomatic service in 1998, and has held a number of positions, including head of the Anglo-Irish Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Dublin and Director of Policy in the Office of the Irish Foreign Secretary, according to a document sent.

The designated ambassador, based in Lisbon, succeeds diplomat Ralph Victory, whose mandate as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland to Angola, also with Non-Resident Status, ended after two and a half years of diplomatic service.
