Africa-Press – Angola. The former Minister of Defense of South Africa, Lindiwe Sisulu, highlighted, this Thursday, in Luanda, the role of women in Southern Africa and their prominent role in the liberation struggle “and, therefore, they must be protected and recognized.”
When speaking on the topic “The role of women in the processes of peace, security and development, the heroine of the Regional Conference “Herstory” reinforced that women deserve protection, since they are the ones who have the mission to also ensure , quality, among other essential aspects, including ensuring that children can grow up in a safe environment.
In Lindiwe Sisulu’s view, it is necessary to ensure that African women are not only protected, but that they can assume important positions, within the scope of a culture of peace.
