Africa-Press – Angola. With little knowledge of the opponents in group C, the U-20 National Team left this Thursday afternoon for Durban (South Africa), where from July 5th to 16th they will compete in the COSAFA Cup in football.
Of the three opponents in the first phase, Angola only has minimal knowledge of Mozambique, its debut opponent on the seventh, at 6 pm.
In the balance of the six days of preparation in Luanda, Wednesday, the coach Zeca Amaral said that it would be important to have videos about the opponents for studies, noting, however, that the images can be acquired already on the stage of the competition.
In the group stage, the Palancas Negras, who are represented with an Under-20 formation in the senior competition, will measure forces, in addition to Mozambique, with the Mauritius Islands at 3 pm on the 10th and on the 12th they will face Lesotho (3 pm ).
Angola is chasing the fourth trophy, after having won the 1999, 2001 and 2004 editions.
For this mission, the national team has goalkeepers Beny, Nsesani and Vicente, defenders Moisés, Mindinho, Tiago, Rúben, Yobo, Kapique and Hossi.
The group is completed by midfielders Enoque, Lopes, Muila, Lizandro, Sandro, Walter and Isaac and forwards César Cangué, Peneta, Jefer, Manu, Benarfa and Apado.
South Africa, Namibia, Eswatini and Botswana are in group A, while Zambia, Malawi, Seychelles and Comoros are in group
B. placed in the general statement.
The semi-finals take place on the 14th of July, while the final and third-place match will take place on the 16th of the same month.
Zambia are the reigning champions.
