Africa-Press – Angola. The National Football Team has two friendly matches confirmed before competing in Algeria’s CHAN2023, to be played from the 13th of this month to the 4th of February.

These are the matches against the Latvian national team and the Servete team from Switzerland, on the 10th and 11th, to take place in the Algarve region (Portugal), where the Angolan team is completing a pre-competitive training camp, since Sunday.

Angola is in group D, with the teams of Mali, with whom it plays on the 16th of this month, and Mauritania, 20.

This is the third participation of the Palancas Negras in the competition, after Sudan in 2011, where it was in second place, after losing in the final, by 3-0, against Tunisia.

In 2018 in Morocco, the National Team was eliminated in the quarterfinals, by Nigeria, by 2-1.

The players Neblu, Hugo Marques, Langanga (goalkeepers), Tó Carneiro, Danilson, Razão, Eddie Afonso, Kinito, Kibeixa, Paizo (Defenders), Além, Higino, Keliano, Herenilson, Megue, Vitoriano (midfielders), Bito, Gilberto, Caneta, Jaredi, Julinho, Depú and Lepua (forwards).

Coach Pedro Gonçalves also announced seven players who will be registered as reserves, namely Migue (goalkeeper), Hossi, Lulas, Pedro Francisco (defenders), Benvindo Afonso (midfielder), Jeffer and Jó Paciência (forwards).
