Africa-Press – Angola. The National Assembly approved, on Tuesday (01), with amendments and recommendations, the first chapter of the Draft Law on the Organization and Functioning of the Courts of Common Jurisdiction.
The discussions raised many questions and concerns, with the article referring to the designation of “the Courts of Common Jurisdiction” being one of the subjects of controversy.
The deputies recommended the harmonization of some rules and better precision of articles 4 and 11, with the established in the Constitution of the Republic.
Speaking to the press, the Secretary of State for Justice, Orlando Fernandes, said that the proposed law intends to establish a set of general rules to discipline the actions of the courts of the Common Jurisdiction.
