Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan parliamentary delegation headed by the president of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, participated, this Wednesday, in the session of the Foreign Relations and National Defense Committee of the Federal Chamber of Deputies of the Brazilian Congress.

After expressing their joy at the presence of the Angolan parliamentary delegation, Brazilian deputies, who spoke, highlighted the historical ties of friendship and brotherhood that unite the two peoples and countries.

The privileged space that Angolan culture occupies in Brazil through literature was highlighted, with the publication of works by Angolan writers, with particular emphasis on Agostinho Neto, Pepetela and Ondjaki.

As part of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Brazilian Senate, Angolan parliamentarians participated, on Tuesday, in the international seminar “Democracy and New Technologies – Challenges of the Digital Era”, in conferences and panels where topics such as “Technology and Democracy -How to guarantee fundamental values”, “Digital Democracy – Lessons and Challenges”, “Artificial Intelligence” and “Democracy – Perspectives for the Future, Minimum State, Democracy, Work and Artificial Intelligence”.

On the last day of its work agenda in Brazil, the Angolan delegation was present at the debates on “Constitutional Design – Governing Technology and Digital Agents in the 21st Century”, “Defense of Democracy in the Technological and Internet world” and “Electoral Campaigns-Impasses and Alternatives”.

The National Assembly delegation attended, on Monday night, a musical artistic show called “Senate 200 years – A Journey Towards the Future”.

The delegation is made up of deputies Ângela Bragança, Américo Chivukuvuku and Vigílio Tyova.
