Africa-Press – Angola. The poetic literary work, with the title Petals without pearls, is now available to readers in the municipality of Menongue, capital of Cuando Cubango, after being presented at the Union of Angolan Writers.

This is the first work by Kulanda Kutima, the literary pseudonym of José António Kulanda, which has 64 pages, and in this first edition 100 copies were printed, under the seal of Brigada Jovens de Literatura, in partnership with the Agostinho Neto Foundation.

The act of sale and autograph session took place in the amphitheater of the Instituto Superior Politécnico Privado de Menongue (ISPPM).

Speaking to the Press Monday, the author said that “Petals without pearls” is a bouquet that takes the reader on a diverse journey, with poems from different angles of approach from social, political and affective.

The writer made it known that all copies are already sold out and has already opened contacts for the reprinting of an amount capable of responding to the desires of readers.

He said it is a portrait that summarizes everyday life in general and suggests a diverse interpretation that allows travel, even being in the same place.

“The book attracts everyone who likes literature, since the suggestion of the title already invites that, in a subjective way, the person wants to know the content”, he highlighted.

On the occasion, the head of the cultural action department of the provincial office for culture, tourism, youth and sports, praised the reader’s effort in composing and launching the work, having challenged other young people to align with the same pitch.
