Africa-Press – Angola. Petro de Luanda’s senior female handball team is in the semi-finals of the Cup Winners’ Club Cup, taking place in Egypt.
The Angolan representative and current continental champion won Monday, by 33-22, Habitat da Côte d’Ivoire, in the first game of the quarter-finals.
To reach that stage, the “oil companies” did the full in group A, where they finished in the first position, with six points, facing the fourth classified of the B series.
Also, this Monday, the other Angolan representative, the 1o de Agosto team, will face Sporting de Alexandria.
The teams qualified for the quarter-finals will benefit from the day off next Tuesday.
