Africa-Press – Angola. Petro de Luanda will play this Saturday in Brazzaville, on loan from AS Vita Club de Kinshansa, from RD Congo, in a match for the 2nd round (group A) of the Champions League in football, in search of their first victory.
This will be the first clash between the two teams in competitions under the aegis of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
In the first round, the Angolan team drew (0-0) at the 11 de Novembro stadium, in Luanda, against JS kabylie from Algeria, while the Congolese did not play due to the postponement of the match with Widad de Casablanca from Morocco, who was involved in the Club World Championship.
The Algerians, for their part, will host Widad, current champions, at the 5 de Junho stadium this Friday.
In internal competitions, Petro leads Girabola2022/23 with 38 points (18 games played), while Vita Clube also leads in its country (31 pts) in 11 matches played.
The challenge, scheduled for 17:00 local time, will be conducted by a quartet of referees from Egypt, led by Mohamed Maarouf Eid Mansour.
The judge will be assisted by compatriots Ammed Teleb and Youssef Elbosaty, while Ahmed El Elgandou is the fourth official appointed by the CAF.
