PGR in Cuando Cubango wants contribution from students in the fight against corruption

Africa-Press – Angola. The acting public prosecutor of Cuando Cubango, Victorino Tchikunda, this Thursday exhorted the students of the Private Polytechnic Institute of Menongue to cultivate the spirit of denouncing acts of corruption, in favor of the well-being of society.

Victorino Tchikunda made this appeal when he gave a master class addressed to the institution’s students, as part of the 1st Academic Scientific Day of the Law Course, which takes place since Wednesday under the motto “For meaningful learning, let us promote legal knowledge in for local development”.

On the occasion, the magistrate defended the need for students, in particular those of the law course, to feel that they are participating in the process of combating corruption, denouncing acts of the kind.

“You are called upon to make your contribution in this process, however you must denounce it as long as you have enough elements to indicate such a practice. Unfortunately, many citizens refuse for fear of negative action by those involved. The intention is to continuously reduce corruption, so everyone must participate for the expected success and for the country to develop, “he stressed.

In this sense, he urged the Provincial Delegation of Justice and Human Rights and the General Inspectorate of State Administration (IGAE) in the region to promote lectures and awareness campaigns in order to elucidate citizens about the ongoing process of combating corruption in the country. , as well as the evils that this phenomenon entails in society.

Under the motto “For meaningful learning, we promote legal knowledge in favor of local development”, during the event, which runs until Friday, participants are addressing topics related to the non-contractual civil liability of partners, public finances and autonomy of financial law and analysis of the legal regime of financial institutions in Angola.

In operation since 2018, the Private Polytechnic Institute of Menongue offers courses in Law, Social Communication, Psychology and Economics and Management.
