Africa-Press – Angola. The social impact projects, included in the Integrated Plan of Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) are changing the routine and life of the inhabitants of Cacuaco, on the outskirts of Luanda province, a fact confirmed Tuesday, by the deputies of the Group MPLA MP.

During a field day, the deputies visited the slopes of Boa Esperança, Praia da Puri, school complexes, community kitchens, improvement of circulation routes in the Kikolo district and health centres, initiatives that have benefited the population.

The parliamentary team, led by deputy Rosa Branco Albino, listened to the main concerns of the inhabitants of the areas visited and left words of encouragement to the mentors of the community kitchen project: “the work is important, as well as feeding the communities. Strength and dynamism”.

The delegation was also at school complex 4015, which had been demolished, and gave way to the construction of a new unit from scratch, financed by the Oil and Gas Agency (ANGP).

In the Augusto Ngangula neighbourhood, the commission visited public school 4047 of the 1st Cycle with seven classrooms and 1,294 students enrolled in the current academic year, in three shifts, in the urban district of Kikolo.

The Malueca bridge, which connects to Mulenvos de Baixo, also deserved the attention of the deputies, who heard from the population complaints based on the delay in the execution of the works and the durability of the infrastructures.

Speaking to the press, Rosa Albino recognized the hard work that aims to guarantee the social well-being of the community.

“Although there is still much to be done, there are also many completed works and others in the physical and financial execution phase, which has been delayed according to the contractors”, he found out.

Rosa Albino also went to the Retranca market, as well as observed the execution of the new road adjacent to the expressway connecting the Belo Monte and Papa Simão neighborhoods, the same with an extension of 13.2 km, with completion scheduled for September of the current year.

Also underway are the concreting contract for 7.5 kilometers of road from Sonangol to the Retranca market, as well as the Ângelo ditch, in the Belo Monte neighbourhood, which will connect the two mulenvos, Cacuaco and Viana.

According to the people’s representative, the aforementioned sections will facilitate mobility, as they are part of the municipality’s priorities.

The highlight also goes to the construction of two schools, one in the Belo Monte neighborhood with 12 classrooms, three analysis and research laboratories and two sports courts, whose physical execution is at 80% and the other of the 1st and 2nd cycle, with 24 Classrooms.

The parliamentarians also noted the construction of the reference Health Center in the neighborhood of Paz, with 2,489 meters of construction area.

On the other hand, Margarida Rosário, 59 years old, who has lived in Bairro da Paz for over 10 years, was satisfied and anxiously awaiting the conclusion of the works.

“ It will be a great relief for the residents of Bairro da Paz to see the works completed. Here we only have private schools and we pay 1,500 kwanzas in bribes and many children do not have access to education because their parents are unemployed,” he said.

As for the electrician Sebastião Domingos, a health center close to home will allow people to travel many kilometers to access services.
