Africa-Press – Angola. A gallery, called Plano B – ORICEMA, was opened this Tuesday, in Luanda, to contribute to the education of society and the elevation of national culture, through the promotion of the arts.
The gallery is an initiative of the precursors (of the old guard) and the newcomers (artists of the new wave), in partnership with the company ACREP, Exploração Petrolífero SA.
According to the gallery’s representative, Aladino Jass, this project aims to elevate the culture of visual arts in the country, through the exhibition of paintings and exchange between generations.
As part of this project, a collective exhibition will be held, divided into two phases of generations of artists, one for “the precursors” and the other for “the very young”.
The first phase will take place over 15 days, with works by the “forerunners” of the arts
plastic arts in Angola, period 1950 to 1990, among landscape artists, portrait artists and modernists.
The second phase, of equal duration, will present the “brand new”, artists making a statement in the areas of plastic representation, photography, video, among others.
Galeria PLANO B – OCIREMA aims to develop the teaching of arts, through the appreciation of art as pedagogy, and stimulate its knowledge.
