Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial commander of the National Police (PN) in Zaire, commissioner Firmino Uyamba, urged this Friday, in Mbanza Kongo, the staff to observe deontological principles during the festive season.

Addressing the forces on parade, the also delegate from the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) urged that the excessive use of coercive methods be avoided, prioritizing, above all, the pedagogical action.

“We have to prioritize obedience to the law and observance of the deontological principles that govern the corporation”, he reinforced.

He hoped that, during the festivities, the National Police in the region would maintain an exemplary posture similar to that observed in securing the last general elections, held in the country on 24 August this year.

“Our objective is to maintain a climate of peace, tranquility and guarantee the safety of the citizen, before, during and after the festivities”, he emphasized, having asked for redoubled effort to avoid unpleasant situations.

In relation to the zones with the highest population concentration, the commander recommended working with the municipal administrations in the indication of authorized places for the parties, aiming at a better guarantee.

At least three thousand MININT personnel, including elements from private security companies, are mobilized to secure the festive season in the province of Zaire.
