Africa-Press – Angola. Thirty-six members of the National Police (PN) in Uíge, who abandoned their jobs during the festive season, will be punished in accordance with the norms of the corporation, announced Friday, the provincial commander, commissioner Monteiro dos Santos.

The measure is part of the disciplinary action applied by the National Police in the region.

The official, who was speaking during the assessment of the festive season, said that the disciplinary measures are aimed at discouraging acts of non-compliance by PN staff in the region.

On the balance of securing the festive season, an act that involved three thousand PN staff, he made a positive assessment, despite the record of some crimes.

He referred that the actions carried out by the defense and security forces allowed the dismantling of a group of criminals who created disorder on the road that connects the city of Uige to the centrality of Quilomosso.
