Africa-Press – Angola. The 4th Unit of the Border Guard Police (PGFA) prevented, in the municipality of Maquela do Zombo, Uíge province, the illegal departure of four thousand and 30 liters of gasoline and lighting oil, which were destined for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Seized in an operation lasting approximately 30 days, these are 2,920 liters of gasoline and 1,110 liters of lighting oil, whose owners are on the run.

Speaking to the press this Tuesday, the spokesman for the National Police in Uíge, Chief Superintendent Freitas Zama, explained that smugglers use vehicles, two- and three-wheel motorcycles and 20- and 30-litre drums.

The official informed that a 43-year-old national citizen, owner of a Toyota Corolla vehicle, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

He made it known that, in the same period, the PGF seized 25 kilograms of narcotics (liamba), whose owner is on the run.

He pointed out that the seized product was handed over to the local General Tax Administration (AGT).
