According to the spokesman for the Provincial Command of the National Police in Lunda Norte, the immigrants were stopped at the border posts in the municipalities of Chitato, Cambulo, Cuango, Caungula and LoĢvua, and were trying to use “fiote” paths, without the agents’ supervision. of the PGF.
He added that the immigrants intended to settle in diamond exploration areas and reach the country’s capital, Luanda.
The official appeals to the population to continue collaborating with the authorities, denouncing, above all, aid to immigration.
The province of Lunda Norte shares a border of around 770 kilometers with the DRC.
