Police in Uíge continue training on maintaining public order

Africa-Press – Angola. Seventy-four National Police personnel began, this Friday, in the province of Uíge, the II phase of training on maintaining public order, an action that aims to reinforce patrolling and public security in the region.

The training action, which will last 45 days, aims to train officers in the ways of police action, in order to maintain physical stability and respond quickly to any occurrence that puts public order and tranquility at risk, as well as defending the State institutions.

The training has staff from 15 municipal commands (except Uíge) and will provide content on maintaining public order, police intervention techniques and tactics, security force techniques, physical preparation and personal defense, weapons, equipment and shooting, among other knowledges

In turn, the second provincial commander of the National Police in Uíge, Avelino Mateus Chissuata, said that the training aims to improve the ways of combating crime and guarantee public safety effectively.

“This will only be possible with training that provides skills to carry out, increasingly better, the work of the Police, as set out in the Constitution of the Republic”, he reinforced.
