PR appoints new PCA of the Geological Institute of Angola

Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, this Wednesday appointed José Manuel as the new chairman of the Board of Directors of the Geological Institute of Angola (IGEO).

Before appointing the then administrator José Manuel, João Lourenço ended the previous IGEO Board of Directors, chaired by Canga Xiaquivuila and which also included administrator Elizabeth Cristina Gomes Botelho de Carvalho.

According to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, the President appointed Américo da Mata Lourenço Victorino and Elizabeth Cristina Gomes Botelho de Carvalho as administrators of IGEO.

The Angola Geological Institute (IGEO) has the mission of providing credible geological information to the State, investors and academia, as well as the execution and coordination of geological mapping and the study of mineral resources, taking into account the character and policy mine established by the Government.
