Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, reiterated this Sunday, in Luanda, Angola’s commitment to continue cultivating solid relations of friendship and solidarity with China, for the benefit of realizing the populations’ common desires for peace, harmony and shared development.
This commitment is expressed in a congratulatory message addressed to the Chinese people and Government on the 74th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China.
In the message, the Angolan statesman also highlights China’s trajectory in recent decades, which has led it to consolidate its position as an unavoidable protagonist of the international community, committed to building a global security architecture based on promoting progress common sense and economic development at a global level.
Angola/China Cooperation
Angola and China are strategic partners, with political, diplomatic and cooperation relations that have seen a notable increase since 2000, enabling the signing of several legal instruments in the social, commercial and business domains.
Available data show that commercial transactions between the two countries reached, in 2022, 27.34 billion dollars.
Since the beginning of the process of reconstruction and construction of development infrastructures in Angola, in 2002, the trade balance between the two States was fixed at 150 million dollars.
China is Angola’s largest trading partner, remaining at the top of the list of largest customers for Angolan goods exports, particularly oil.
