Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, this Tuesday, presented his condolences to his Mozambican counterpart for the shipwreck that killed dozens of citizens, in the province of Nampula.
At least 96 people, including children, died in a shipwreck on Sunday, after a fishing boat carrying 130 people capsized off the north coast of Mozambique.
Mozambican authorities continue their search for survivors this Monday.
In the note of condolences, João Lourenço expresses his solidarity duty to present, on behalf of the Angolan Government, to the families of the victims, “the most heartfelt condolences for the tragic occurrence”.
In the message addressed to his Mozambican counterpart, Filipe Nyusi, the Head of State expresses solidarity “in this moment of deep sadness” affecting the brotherly country.
