Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, returned this Wednesday to Luanda, from the city of Lubango, Huíla province, where he worked for a few hours.

At the Luanda Military Air Base, João Lourenço, accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, received welcome greetings from the governor of Luanda, Manuel Homem, members of the Executive and senior officials from his office.

In the city of Lubango, the Head of Executive Power reopened the Irene Neto Maternity, which was rehabilitated and equipped.

Still in the province of Huíla, the President of the Republic noted the progress of construction work on the circular road in the city of Lubango.

Huíla is one of the 18 provinces of Angola, located in the south of the country, has about 1,500 thousand inhabitants, being the second most populous province in Angola after the capital Luanda.

Consisting of 14 municipalities, it has an area of ​​79,022 square kilometres. It is known for the magnificent view of Serra da Leba, the mountainous plateau that separates Huíla from the province of Namibe.
