Africa-Press – Angola. The preparations for the 10th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of Caribbean and Pacific African States (OEACP), scheduled for December this year, were analyzed this Monday, in Luanda, by technicians from the multisectoral teams of the secretariat and the work group.

The meeting, which was opened by Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Domingos Vieira Lopes, analyzed transversal aspects of the organizational process.

The technicians reviewed, among other aspects, “Sectoral Pronouncement on the Specifications;” “Definition of Methodology and Harmonization to Avoid Duplication of Tasks between the Technical Working Group of Angola and the OEACP.”

The participants also defined and discussed the central theme of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the OASCP, which will be ”3 Oceans, one Destination – Resilience and Sustainability.

According to the participants, the central theme will be subdivided into three sub-themes: Building Research-Related Knowledge; Optimize Global Leadership and Action for the Crisis of Diplomatic Relations at the Diversity Level;” ”Improving Trade and Investment in the Private Sector.”

The meeting of the Technical Group and the Secretariat was guided by the Angolan ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, Luxembourg and to the European Union, Mário Azevedo Constantino, in his capacity as co-chair of the OEACP Committee of Ambassadors.

The Organization of African Caribbean and Pacific States (OASCP) is an association of 79 countries formed to coordinate activities under the 1975 Lomé Convention.

All States, with the exception of Cuba, are signatories to the Cotonou agreement, which replaced the Lomé Conventions.
