President João Lourenço Accredits Six New Ambassadors

Africa-Press – Angola. President João Lourenço accredited on Friday six new ambassadors, who will represent the political, diplomatic, economic, and cultural interests of their respective countries in Angola.

In separate ceremonies held at the Presidential Palace, the Head of State received the Letters of Credence from the ambassador of the Democratic Republic of São Tome and Prince, Alda Quaresma de Assunção Ramos, with resident status in Angola.

The diplomat has already served in various government bodies in her country, having been a member of the National Assembly and a member of the Pan-African Parliament.

The ambassadors of the Dominican Republic, Erika Alvarez Rodrigues, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Mekuria Geta Worku, and Bangladesh, Miah Mainuel Kabir, were also accredited as non-residents.

João Lourenço also received the Letters of Credence from the Colombian ambassador, Maria del Rosario Mina Rojas, and the Nicaraguan ambassador, Danilo Javier.

After the formalization of the protocol procedure, the President of the Republic held private meetings of about 10 minutes, with each of the diplomats.
