Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, disembarked, at the beginning of the evening of this Thursday (7), in the country’s capital, after a two-day working day in the province of Malanje, where he learned about the economic and social development Of region.
Upon his arrival, President João Lourenço received greetings from members of the Government.
In the region, after meeting with members of the local government where he received explanations about the social and economic situation of Malanje, President João Lourenço visited Biocom, an Angolan company that produces, distributes and sells sugar, ethanol and electricity from biomass, as well as Fazenda Quizenga Lutete, in the municipality of Cacuso.
Likewise, he traveled and maintained contact with the exhibitors at the agricultural fair, where he was informed about the agricultural potential of the 14 municipalities in this region.
Among the various projects for this region, President João Lourenço announced the start of work for the construction of the centrality in the province of Malanje, with more than 2,500 homes, scheduled for the end of the year.
Another important project is the construction of a Higher Institute of Agronomy, in the municipality of Cacuso, justifying the decision by the fact that the province is potentially agricultural.
For the same region, the Statesman referred that, in the near future, a new modern General Hospital will be built from scratch, due to the fact that the current one is in a state of degradation.
