Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, left the country this Thursday (19) for the Republic of Kenya, at the invitation of his counterpart William Ruto, for a two-day state visit.
At 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, accompanied by the First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, the President of the Republic received farewell greetings from the president of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, assistants from the Executive Branch and the governor of the province of Luanda.
According to the Secretary of the President of the Republic for Institutional Communication and Press, Luís Fernando, the Angolan Statesman’s visit will have two essential moments, and on Friday (20), he will participate in an act of national celebration in an open field (Stadium of Football) as a guest of the authorities of this country, alongside President William Ruto.
On Saturday (21) an activity will take place at the Presidential Palace, in Nairobi, with talks between the two Heads of State and their respective delegations, and there will also be a tribute to the “founding father of Kenya”, Jomo Kenyatta, with the laying of a wreath in his mousoleum, in a solemn atmosphere.
According to the program, this will be the last activity of the Angolan statesman, who will leave the city of Nairobi on Saturday, returning to the country.
