President João Lourenço to Speak at World Health Assembly

Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, will speak Tuesday (20) in Geneva, Switzerland, at the 78th World Health Assembly in his capacity as acting president of the African Union (AU).

According to the program of the event, João Lourenço, who arrived in Geneva on Monday, will be the first Speaker of the day, shortly after the adoption by the member states of the World Health Organization (WHO) of the historic global pact for the prevention of epidemics.

Other speakers expected at the event are the presidents of France, Emmanuel Macron, Egypt, Abdul Fatah Al Sisi, and South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, as well as the heads of State of the Philippines, Senegal, Vietnam, Thailand and Cabo Verde,

The prime ministers of Croatia, Thailand and Australia, as well as United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, are also expected to deliver speeches.
