Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, travels to Libreville, Gabon, on Thursday (22), at the invitation of his Gabonese counterpart, Ali Bongo.
In Gabon, the Angolan Head of State will work for a few hours in the country’s capital, and should return to Luanda on the same day (22nd), according to the spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Luís Fernando.
Angola and Gabon are members, among others, of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the African Union and the United Nations (UN).
In recent months, the two States maintained contacts at presidential level, with the trip to Libreville of a special envoy of the Angolan Head of State, within the framework of the exchange of information on the situation in ECCAS.
